2016/09/07 Perfectionism leads to laziness

To be a perfectionist is to let there be no imperfection.

Suppose you have a thing to do.  If you are a perfectionist, you only have two choices: to do it fully or not to do it at all. For any alternative between the extremes is imperfection.  And since there is less chance of doing it perfectly, you will often end by doing nothing about it. Therefore, you would stay away from school rather than be late, read no page of a book rather than read it half-way Doing nothing gives rise to nothing imperfect. Perfectionism leads to laziness.
