In his world-famous book, Bushido, Nitobe says that when confronted with a hardship, Samurai doesn't run away but plunges into it.

In my life I have been acquainted with so attractive people that I wish to be like them some day.  Come to think about them, they are samurais, in that they always go into an ordeal in front of them, and survive it. Their attraction seems to be derived from their experiences of overcoming a large number of predicaments.

Having come home from work, exhausted and hungry, I realized that I am faced with ordeals. Now it's my turn.
