As a student of philosophy, one of my duties is to read papers and books. Today I spent most of my time reading, so that I only have two conversations face to face with other people, which are not so much formal as casual. The words I spoke were "唐揚げ弁当ください." and "焼肉弁当ください." The former was for lunch and the latter, for supper.
When I realized this fact, it felt at once strange and ordinary. I said to myself, "It was a rather quiet day today."
